Tips for Elaborating Stories in Proper Manner
Remember that there will be no story unless there is something that you want. Stories start in an inspirational way and you should clearly know what you really want out of your story; is it some emotion that you want to create? Find a new way to solve some problem? Change the way your listener feels or think? In order to do what you want; you need to know what you want as well. In order to tell stories, there should be a listener as well otherwise stories cannot be told. See who are you telling your stories to; you need to focus over connecting with your audience or listener. You are sort of inviting them to join you on a journey; do you think they will like to come?
When telling stories to anyone, you need to trust your own story first. You can easily come up with a story that you want to tell thinking about your audience and what you want out of it; there are several stories you can choose from and almost more one of two fits in all kinds of situations and listeners. So once you have the story in your mind that you should be telling; trust in the story and trust in the belief that why are you telling this story first.
While telling stories, associations, emotions, and all your senses play an important role; so experience these things deeply. You need to sink it the story and put in all that you have while telling it; make it feel as if you are there in the story. You should be feeling all the sensations, hearing all the sounds, and looking at the all the pictures as the story moves on. Make it sound real, make the listener feel its reality.
Apart from giving high attention to your own stories; you also need to give some attention to your listeners as well. Everyone has a different thinking so you need to observe what everyone or your listener is thinking like. You need to observe whether the listener wants to feel more, hear more, or see more during the story. Stay with them, observe their movements and expressions and give them sufficient attention as well. Lastly, all stories have endings so make sure you end your story where it should be otherwise all the hard work might go as a waste.
